This February, Timothy II celebrates its 29th Anniversary. As I think back on the sovereign Call of God on Timothy II, some of the prophetic words about this work, and the many miracles that God wrought, I am in awe.

One of the prophetic words that we received early on was about us going out and meeting with Governors and Leaders of countries. This was not something we even desired, so it was interesting to us. I mean, who did we know? However, on Timothy II and Lavona’s first journey to the Philippines, they were asked to meet the Governor of one of the Districts they were in. They also met the Philippines top General who held the fourth highest position in the country. He would be instrumental in opening doors for us to go to schools, prisons, and even Army bases. When we traveled in dangerous areas, this General provided us with rides in the back of Army jeeps and trucks with armed guards as our escorts.

On our second trip to the Philippines, we were asked to meet the Vice President of the country! What an honor. This Vice President became President a few years later. It is pretty astounding when we see vision become reality. Even years later when we went to Tanzania, the Pastor we worked with was the Secretary to the Vice President of the country. This man is now our Timothy II Director for Tanzania!

As we began to take Teams to the Philippines and other Nations we saw the lame walk, the deaf hear, and many other miracles. We felt like instruments in God’s hands as we watched Him use us as He saw fit. And it was amazing!   One healing which quickly comes to mind is when my husband, Phil was asked to pray for a man who was deaf. He had never prayed for that type of healing before. He was not sure what to do so he thought of a man who had a healing ministry and thought, “What would he do?” After Phil prayed, he spoke real softly into the deaf ear to see if the man could hear. I am not sure who was more surprised, Phil or the man who was healed! The man heard Phil’s whisper and his family went away rejoicing!

One of the healings that stands out for me was of a woman in a small Barangay in the Philippines. She lived in a traditional hut that was built on stilts where you had to climb a ladder to get in. There was no door, but a doorway was cut out of the bamboo. A group of us went up to her house and said, “Knock, knock! We are here to tell you about Jesus.” She was so happy as she said that she was just asking God if he was real…and we showed up to tell her about Jesus! It was so natural to share the gospel with her and her daughter. After praying for Salvation with her, her daughter pulled her mom’s hair away from her neck revealing a large goiter and asked us to pray for that. I closed my eyes and we prayed for God to heal her. When I opened my eyes, the goiter was completely gone! It was so miraculous! We left that little hut just thanking God for all that He did.

At one Church we went to in Cebu there was a lady in a wheelchair.   She kept telling Timothy II that she could not walk. After the Service, when it was time for prayer, Timothy asked the ladies to pray with the women of our Team and the men to pray with the men. However, this tenacious lady wanted Timothy II to pray for her so she got in his line.   When he went to pray with her and told her to stand up, he thought, OK Lord you are going to have to do this. As she stood up, he said he could hear her bones popping and he saw her paralyzed limbs moving into place. He then took her by the arms and walked her around the Church. This precious lady was now walking!

In the Book of Joshua we read of Gideon. Joshua 6: 12 – 14 says; “And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” Gideon said to Him, “O my Lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” I remember reading this portion of Scripture and thinking, “What might? All I hear from Gideon are questions.” Many times we felt like Gideon on our Mission trips; our faith and might were tiny, but God had sent us! Through the years, many of us on our Team often felt like we were walking out the pages of the New Testament. We got to see God’s miracles and His mighty power.

The healings are dramatic but the Timothy II Team rejoices most when we see someone come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Reflecting on the many who have come to know Jesus and hearing how many of those are still walking strong in faith encourages us so much.

The Lord gave Timothy II a heart to serve the Leaders of the Church. Through the years, Timothy has written many Study Guides, Books, and Tracts for Leaders. We also have our Timothy II Bible College. Timothy continues to do the work that God has called him to. This past December, he went to Mexico to speak to the Pastors. He remains faithful to the Call of God.   Happy 29 Years to us!

In God’s Love, Sandi
