Ministry to the Saints
THE MABUHAY CONNECTION
“The Mabuhay Connection” is our way to help establish the “Ministry to the Saints”.
Through the “Mabuhay Connection”, whenever possible, we try to support the needs of the poor Saints throughout the world. This is done through the shipping of clothing, food, toiletries, medicines, office supplies, etc. These supplies are sent directly to our Directors and/or Pastors/Priests, who in turn distribute them to the poor and needy Saints in their congregations and throughout their areas. Many of these Pastors/Priests are poor themselves, so this enables them to help supply the poor and needy Saints as the Bible directs them to do.
Scriptures
1 Cor 16:15
15. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints ,)
2 Cor 8:4
4. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
2 Cor 9:12-13
12. For the administration (ministering) of this service not only supplieth the want (needs) of the saints, but is abundant (abounding) also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13. While by the experiment (experience) of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
Heb 6:10
10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Introduction
My name is Rev. Ozzie Cinko, and my wife Toni and I are just ordinary people with a love for helping people that are in need. We are a part of the “Timothy II Group”.
Since I have been to the Philippines and other third world countries many times, I have personally seen the hurting people and the tremendous need for their day-to-day existence and survival. That is why we are reaching out with the Lord’s help from the “Body of Christ” to give these people a helping hand.
Statement
The purpose of the “Mabuhay Connection” is to reach out to the lost, the poor, the needy, the hungry, the imprisoned, the orphans, the street people, the squatters, and the handicapped, as well as to God’s People.
Mabuhay:
The word “Mabuhay” is a Tagalog verb from the Filipino language, which means to Have Life. We believe this means to have an abundant life (John 10:10), and we want to help them to achieve it.
The Vision
The Vision is to ship various items to Pastors/ Priests, who in turn distribute them to the people. This concept was conceived after an outreach to the Philippines in 1994. Keep the second paragraph about the shipment of the boxes the same.
In the Philippines, it takes 17 to 35 days for the boxes to arrive door-to-door. Upon their arrival, the boxes are distributed by a forwarder to the Churches. We only send the boxes to the Pastors/Priests that we know personally. Boxes sent by ship to other countries take longer to get there, so we usually send them by air.
The Connection
The “Mabuhay Connection” is an Extended Outreach Ministry of the “Timothy II International Ministries”, which is chartered with the “Association of International Gospel Assemblies”, with tax exempt numbers: Timothy II E.I.N. 36 3579090 and A.I.G.A. G.E.N. 9445
What Can You Do To Help?
As a Ministry, we are looking for interested individuals and Churches to help support and/or sponsor a box on a one time or on a monthly basis.
We also need donated items such as light clothing that is small in size, and/or children’s clothing. We merely ask that they are clean and folded; however, new clothing is greatly appreciated. Remember it is better to give our best for the Lord. Other items we can use are: Bibles, dried foods, rice, canned meat, medical supplies, vitamins & aspirin, office supplies, toiletries, bedding, children’s articles, small toys, pens/pencils etc.
